Today I was thinking back about times before that I've been so excited for something the next day that I couldn't sleep. One time in elementary school, I was
soooo excited about the 1st day of school that I woke up in the middle of the night, put my "1st day of school" clothes on and slept in them, because I thought it would make it come faster.....boy oh boy how things change!!!
While I probably won't be losing any sleep tonight (sorry Mom). I am very excited because at this time tomorrow my mom and 2 of her good friends will be here for a week of playing in Savannah!! I can't wait to show these ladies around, go to the beach, eat out, and
of course shop! I don't know exactly what all we're going to do, but I do know we will be having a great time!! I probably won't be blogging while they're here, but I definitely will after they leave.
Now, the only thing that could make this better is if somehow they could fit these 4 into their carry-
ons :)

On another note, I spent today working on this Pottery Barn inspired DIY art from The Lettered Cottage. It's going to go above the bed in one of the guest rooms.

It turned out great, except that my stamps for the words were not quite big enough. I went to Wal-Mart in hopes that they would have some bigger, but of course they didn't even have stamps! Also, there is no Hobby Lobby in Savannah, only Michaels :(. This makes me very sad, but Hubs and the bank account very happy. Ha! So I guess I will order some stamps, and finish this project later (add it to the long list of started and not finished projects!). I will be sure and post the finished product, whenever that may be.
Have a safe and happy 4th! Happy Birthday America!
